Paul Song, Lead Service Advisor
As our “superstar” Service Advisor, Paul is your first resource for help and information regarding the outstanding care you receive at Motor Works. Paul joined the team in December 2014 after spending the last 10 years as the Service Advisor at an independent repair facility in Columbia, Maryland. He is an ASE Certified Automobile Service Consultant. Paul, his wife Amy and their sons Marcus and Oliver live in Elkridge, Maryland.
Sara Pretl, Assistant Service Advisor / Client Care Coordinator
Sara Pretl joins the Motor Works team as Client Care Coordinator. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in customer service and is ready to help, both the team and our clients, in any way she can. Born and raised in Southern California, she was transplanted to the east coast in 1997. She has a passion for her family, is a voracious reader and is a self-described “organizational dynamo.” Sara is an ASE Certified Service Consultant. On her off days you can usually find her in a park near her home in Germantown with her son Anthony and her husband Tom, checking out nature and having an all-around great time. Come visit us and you’ll instantly notice her charming smile and professional demeanor.
Chris Soares, Lead Technician, C.M.A.T.
Chris officially joined the MWI team in 2005 after working for several summers during school break. He has an enchanting smile, a thirst for knowledge that seems insatiable and is well liked by team members and clients alike. In addition to a passion for motorcycling and drag racing, his favorite subject seems to be turbochargers — anything to do with them and he’s wide eyed. Chris became a Certified Master Auto Technician in October of 2012 and we’re all proud of his achievements. Great job, Chris!
Todd Lewis, Technician, C.M.A.T.
Todd joined the Motor Works team back in April of 1997. Since that time, Todd has become a steady fixture both with team members and clients. Todd has been a Honda Technician since 1984 and has been certified by Honda Motor Company as well as the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. His incredible mechanical abilities and eye watering humor help to make the work atmosphere at Motor Works fun!
Armando Delgado, Apprentice Technician
Armando joined the MWI team in January of 2014 and has quickly become a valuable member of our team. He began his journey with Motor Works as our Client Transportation Coordinator, but has since entered our apprentice technician program, learning the trade from the best. He’s proven himself to be a quick study! Armando is an avid endurance sportscar racing enthusiast and has traveled to many major sportscar events such as the 24hrs of Daytona and the Sebring 12 hour race. He scratch builds computers and sim races (simulated auto racing) in his spare time. He even has won the iracing.com Talladega 499 officially sanctioned by NASCAR. A true rock star!
Aaron Skolnik, Director of Operations
While Aaron “officially” joined the Motor Works team full time in November 2014, he’s grown up with the company since the beginning. Son of owner Greg Skolnik, Aaron spent his summers doing oil changes and working in the Motor Works front office as a teenager. Since then, Aaron has provided IT support to Motor Works, developing many of the automated systems we use today (including our e-Minder system and this website). He specializes in process automation and efficiency, and is constantly working to make your experience at Motor Works quick, easy and valuable. Aaron is an ASE Certified Service Consultant. Most recently, Aaron worked in the Office of External Affairs at FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency. A 1998 graduate of Salisbury University, Aaron has 3 children, Kayleigh, Nathan and Olivia, and lives in Germantown. During the fall, you’ll find Aaron on your local High School or Division III College Football Field officiating the game (He’s a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Chapter – Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials).
Greg Skolnik, Owner and Director, C.M.A.T., L1, A.M.A.M.
Greg Skolnik, Owner, Director, and Master Technician, still guides the shop from its inception to the well-established and highly regarded service facility it is today. A 1974 graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute with a degree in Automotive Technology, Greg’s 40 years of experience are invaluable in the expert diagnosis and repairs performed at Motor Works, Inc. He is certified as a Master Automobile Technician and holds the prestigious L-1 advanced engine performance and emission analysis certification. In November of 2004, Greg also received the coveted Accredited Automotive Management (A.A.M.) degree from the Automotive Management Institute and in March 2017, he was awarded the even-more-coveted title of Accredited Master Automotive Manager (A.M.A.M.) from AMI.
Greg and his wife Carol, have two grown sons. Their older son, Chris and his wife Mary, gave birth to Joshua in July of 2009. Their younger son, Aaron, gave them three beautiful grandchildren, Kayleigh in September of 1999, Nathan in August of 2003 and Olivia in April of 2008. “PopPop” and “Nana” continue to practice spoiling all four.
Greg is still an active Scout Leader for over 25 years with Boy Scout Troop and Venturing Crew 1083 in Rockville, Maryland and finally figured out how to tie all those knots! Greg also enjoys touring America on his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and still plays his drums for fun.
